• SCALES is a community legal centre offering services to disadvantaged people in the Kwinana and Rockingham areas.
• SCALES is a legal education clinic which is part of the Murdoch University School of Law. Free generalist legal service.
• Advice and limited casework provided on Consumer/Debt; Criminal Injuries Compensation; Criminal including Children- s Court matters; specialist Domestic Violence service with court support; Equal Opportunity; Family Law Children- s Matters; Immigration (advanced clinic); MVA; Centrelink and Tenancy.
• Law reform.
• Community Development and Community Legal Education with regular Family Law Forums.
• Advice and information to young people on criminal and civil matters.

Referral Criteria:

• Community members with limited access to justice.
• Low income and disadvantaged
• Indigenous CALD young people tenants
• Clients affected by family and domestic violence
