Street Law provides an outreach legal service to the homeless or those at risk of homelessness. The legal clinics will take place at various agencies, for example, day centres, refuges or soup kitchens. At this stage we are still formalising when and where the legal clinics will take place but initially they will be in the Northbridge area. If other services wish to refer clients then they need to refer them to the legal clinics. The aim is to provide on the spot legal advice and assistance. In time, an advice line will commence so that clients State wide will be able to access the service.

• debts
• bankruptcy
• criminal law (move on notices and other matters to be determined)
• discrimination
• guardianship and administrations applications
• police complaints
• criminal injuries compensation
• Freedom of Information applications
• fines
• violence restraining orders
• family law (assistance will initially be limited)
