Services:



  • Representation of temporary protection visa holders in claiming further protection

  • Representation in the lodgement of onshore protection visa applications (ie where a person has entered Australia on another form of visa and seeks to lodge a protection visa application)

  • Assistance to victims of domestic violence who are on temporary spouse visas

  • Any other migration work where exceptional humanitarian issues are raised

  • Assistance to current and former protection and humanitarian visa holders with family reunions

  • Assistance to humanitarian and protection visa holder with citizenship applications

  • Immigration assistance to women where trafficking in women is an issue.

  • Referral of protection and humanitarian visa holders to appropriate agencies for general legal assistance (eg with criminal, credit tenancy and other issues)

  • Information sessions for clients


Referral Criteria:



  • Temporary protection visa (TPV) holders

  • Temporary spouse visa holders

  • Current and former permanent protection visa holders and humanitarian visa holders

  • Women in Australia who are the victims of trafficking in women

  • Any case where the person claims humanitarian reasons for seeking to stay in Australia

  • CASE is also an IAAAS provider.


Geographic Region:



  • State-wide application utilising telephone/video link up however provide face to face appointments at Perth office

  • CASE for Refugees is an incorporated CLC whose management committee are representative of the legal community
